The Ironstone story

BUILT IN THE VALE.
MADE FOR GOOD COMPANY.

Ironstone Brew Co. is based on a farm in Eaton whose ground was heavily worked for ironstone. This is not a borrowed industrial story; the brewery stands on it.

A hard band of ironstone helped form the southern ridge of the Vale. Quarrying spread through Eaton and its neighbouring villages from the late nineteenth century, leaving lowered fields, stone-built villages and a history that still sits close to the surface.

The names we carry

NOT A TRAIN BRAND.
A LOCAL THREAD.

The beer names were carried by engines on and around the Eastwell system serving the local ironstone workings, including quarries around Eaton. We carry the names as a quiet salute to the people and graft that moved the stone—not as a costume for the beer.

The result is a modern brewery rooted in the farm beneath our feet: professional enough to travel, personal enough to still care about every batch.
